Tag Assistant Legacy

This extension will make sure various Google tags including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, AdWords conversion tag and many others are installed correctly on your page.

Once the plugin is installed, an icon will appear by which you can determine the status of the tag on the page. The icon changes color and shows different numbers depending on the status of the detected tags. For example, a red indicator with the number 1 indicates that 1 tag with critical errors has been found, and a yellow one indicates that a tag with minor implementation problems has been found.

To get information about a tag, click on the icon. You’ll see how many tags and errors were found, a link to an up-to-date help document that will help solve the problem. Tag Assistant will also tell you what and how you can improve. For example, if you have an outdated Google Analytics tag installed, the plugin may suggest installing a newer one.

Facebook Pixel Helper

The plugin allows you to find out whether Facebook Pixel works properly: whether it is installed on the site, what events it monitors, and whether there are errors. Facebook Pixel Helper makes recommendations to improve Pixel’s effectiveness. For example, it might advise:

Place no more than one conversion event on each page, unless an additional conversion event is triggered when a customer takes a specific action (such as clicking a button). This improves optimization and event tracking;
use tracking. This error indicates that Facebook tracking is turned off and there is a risk of missing a pixel issue. To enable tracking, you need to go to the Facebook settings. You may also need to update your device settings;
Register the actions performed on your site. To track important actions, you need to place a basic Facebook Pixel code in the header of your site. If it is placed very low, it may not track all customer actions that occurred before the pixel was triggered.
After installing the plugin, you will see a small icon next to the address bar. Click on it after going to your site. A pop-up window will tell you what pixels were found and how they were downloaded.
