Instagram now has the ability to send animated messages in Direct. The use of the new function is available to those who have linked Direct and Messenger.

How to send an animated message to Direct Instagram
To send a message with animation, follow our instructions.
Step 1… Open your private messages and start typing.
Step 2… To the left of the message text, click the magnifying glass icon.
Step 3… Select the animation with which the message will be sent.
4 animations available: hearts, candy, flame and gift.
When the user receives such a message, he will see an animation. Also, the animation will work when you click on the message itself.
Previously, Instagram began testing music for stories in Russia, as well as a new mode for the camera – “Shooting from multiple sources”.
