January is a time for resolutions, new beginnings and fresh starts. For most people, it is a wake up call. A lot of people realise that they actually don’t really like their job or that they feel they could be putting their efforts into following their passions. Does this sound like you?

The thing is, for most people, it begins as a wake up call and they dwell for a little on the thought of taking the plunge and pursuing a career path that gives them ultimate financial freedom and choice within their lives…and then they go back to “reality”.
They think about the bills they need to pay, or what their parents may think, or how they should stay in their job because it is a "safe option” and they need a “sense of security”.
What if I told you that no matter whether you work for an employer or yourself, there is no such thing as a “safe option” or a “sense of security”. You could be at work one day, and then the next, you get fired, completely out of the blue.
Your boss comes in and says “Hey, I’m sorry but I have to fire you”. Would you believe in security then?
In fact, as risky as entrepreneurship is, I believe that business owners actually have more security! Now, before you say “Chris, don’t be ridiculous, that’s not true” hear me out.
Entrepreneurs and business owners have complete control over themselves and their actions. They decide how much they get paid, they decide their working hours, they decide their holiday time. It all boils down to who has more control, and those that are employed are stripped of this control when they are hired.
So, in this blog post, I am going to be talking about 3 ways you can quit your 9-5, take the plunge and create the life you not only want, but DESERVE.
#1 Create a Plan Of Action & Strict Goals
Let’s kick this off with one of, if not, the most important actions you are going to take to make 2019 the best year ever!
Whenever you do anything in life, you need a plan of action. You need something to refer to that outlines exactly what you are doing, how you are going to do it and in what timeframe.
Okay, so how do I make one of these? I am so glad you asked! A simple spreadsheet/document works fine. In fact, I have gone ahead and helped you out a little by creating a worksheet for you. You can download it for FREE below!
I have made it really simple for you to fill out. All you need to do it print it out and then write in each section.
There are so many benefits to having a proper plan in place, but the main benefit that I found is the ability to visualise and foresee your vision.
By writing down your goals, creating a strategy on how to meet them and a process of implementation, you can really start to visualise how you can approach everything. The worst way to take your first step is to not know how.
I urge you to fill out the FREE worksheet so you start your venture with your plan of action, your goals and a good mindset.
#2 Invest In Yourself
Okay, you have now created your plan of action and you have an outline of your goals and the steps you are going to take to achieve them. The next thing you need to do is invest in yourself. Investing in yourself is simply anything you can do that is going to benefit you in achieving the goals you have set out to achieve.
I have listed some examples of investing in yourself below:
Investing in courses to to expand your knowledge
Speaking with others in the niche and industry you want to go into
Attending events or webinars
Investing in yourself is crucial to your success. You need to be continuously educating yourself. Even the world’s billionaires still invest in themselves because they know that by doing that, it will help them get to that next level.
Any success that I have had in business is all traceable to the point at which I took control of my situations and invested in myself. When I made the switch to invest in courses and spend hours learning to perfect my craft, I started seeing results. I went from consistent failures into the zone of successes.
Invest in yourself, because no one else will!
#3 Patience & Trusting The Process
If you are not patient, you will fail. It is as simple as that. I know it sounds harsh but so many people fail when it comes to business because they just don’t have the patience and they do not give things time to work.
Choosing to develop a business with the intent of leaving your current career is a hard decision for some people. The most common reason I hear from people is that “It is so much work and I am tired when I get home from my day job".
The simple answer to that is yes, it is a lot of work. But how bad do you want it? Do you want to create the life you have always dreamed of, or do you want to just leave it as a dream?
I will leave you with that thought, and I hope you take action on what I have told you today. I want you to create the life you want, the life you deserve, and I want to hear your success stories in a years time!
Before I go, I just want to let you know about a little something that I have put together for you.
