Facebook added option to create audiences based on buying activity

The Facebook ad account now has the ability to create custom audiences based on Instagram and Facebook buying activity.

The update will be available to all advertisers in the very near future.

How to create an audience based on purchases made in Facebook Ads Manager

Step 1… Go to Facebook Ads Manager, click the menu and select “Audiences”.

Step 2… On the page that opens, select “Create audience – Custom audience”.

Step 3… After the update is available in Russia, the “Shopping” section will appear.

Once you open it, you can choose one of three retargeting audience options:

  • users who viewed products;
  • users who added items to the cart;
  • users who made a purchase.

Also, based on these options, you can create a look-alike.

Earlier, new advertisers from the US and Turkey had the ability to run Instagram ads without linking the page to Facebook.
