By collecting more feedback from users, the social network is making its AI systems “smarter and more responsive,” the company says.
- Facebook has added “Show more” and “Show less” buttons to the posts of people and communities a user is connected to, as well as to recommended posts. About this writes TechCrunch.
- Clicking “Show more” will temporarily increase the rating of this post and its likes in their feed, while clicking “Show less” will lower it. The choice made will affect the posts the user sees over the next 60 days.
- The social network will sometimes show buttons next to posts, and in the future – “hide” them under the three-dot character in the upper right corner. The feature will also be tested in Reels.
Facebook is also testing settings that will allow you to choose how much content a user wants to see in the feed from friends and family, groups and public pages and persons. For example, it is possible to select the “normal amount” of posts from friends and family and “less” – from public persons who are subscribed.
