Polls on Facebook Messenger were unavailable for a while, which caused a negative reaction from users. Facebook today announced that polls are returning to Messenger chats.
Facebook launched polls in Messenger back in 2016, they were recently removed, but are now returning with a number of updates:

How to create a Facebook Messenger poll in chat
Step 1… Go to Messenger, open the group chat in which you want to make a survey, put the cursor in the text field and click on +. In the menu that appears, click on the poll icon.
Step 2… Give your survey a title and add options. You can add a new answer option by clicking +.
Step 3… We publish a poll in the chat – click “Create a poll”.
All Messenger group chats with more than two members can use voting.
So, polls in Messenger got a new design and are available again to all users on iOS, Android, and also on computers.
Previously, Facebook made Video Chat Rooms and also added them to groups.
