What is Facebook Rights Manager and how does it work?

Rights Manager is a powerful tool powered by the Facebook Creator Studio platform. It’s made for people who want to control when, how and where their content is posted to Facebook and Instagram.

After discovering the borrowed materials, the author can:

  • configure its monitoring;
  • require attribution;
  • request deletion.

In addition, you can specify the official partners who legally distribute your content.

To use this tool, go to https://rightsmanager.fb.com/, click “Apply Now” and fill out a simple form.

After passing the moderation, you indicate the content that you have created and want to protect to the library. The service itself finds content on Facebook and Instagram that matches yours. Also, you can configure whether your content rights apply globally or only in certain regions.

In general, the Rights Manager is a tool for authors and publishers to publish large amounts of content that people love to share or use in their publications. That being said, Rights Manager is suitable for everyone. If you don’t post new content on a regular basis, you can simply report individual violations.

Previously, Facebook launched the Facebook Business Suite app to manage their accounts in a single interface, and IGTV videos now have subtitles.
