Facebook has announced the launch of a new service through which entrepreneurs, bloggers and media can create paid events on social networks.
The new service will allow companies to create an event, choose a cost from $ 1 to $ 100, promote and pay for participation directly on the social network. As part of supporting small businesses, Facebook will not charge any fee for hosting paid events for at least a year.

When paying for transactions via Facebook Pay from the web version of the social network and from Android devices, entrepreneurs will receive 100% of their income. Apple refused to cancel the 30% commission inside iOS applications and banned accepting payments via Facebook Pay. Therefore, small businesses will only receive 70% of the income from online events, Facebook said.
This is how the payment will look like on iOS (left) and Android (right).
Facebook is also testing paid events using Rooms on the social network.
The service was launched in 20 countries, Russia is not on the list. Please visit https://www.facebook.com/paid_online_events to see if you can currently host paid online events.
Previously, Instagram added welcome messages to Direct for ad hits, and Messenger Rooms became available on the desktop version of WhatsApp.
