Facebook launches “Professional Accounts”

Facebook is working to give more features to authors in its app and is launching “Professional Accounts” (analogous to an author account in Instagram).

Professional mode will open up access to publication statistics, audience data, and provide quick access to monetization features.

So now if you want to run a professional blog on Facebook, you don’t need to create a business page, you just need to switch your personal one to pro mode.

You can turn off professional mode at any time by clicking the appropriate button at the bottom of the screen.

“Professional Accounts” on Facebook will be tested in the U.S. before launching in other regions next year.
