Instagram is testing a few more updates – when adding stickers from the top, Favorites are now shown in Stories, and Recents when searching.

Although this refers to the cosmetic changes to Insta, it speaks of some upcoming changes.

Now, almost all interactive stickers (polls, quizzes, etc.) open on the first screen and can be selected without additional scrolling down. The recent and favorites section is needed when you need to organize navigation through many items. And to make it easier to use them – when searching by stickers, recent ones are shown, and on the first screen there is a section with selected stickers.

What does this mean? This indicates that there will be significantly more stickers on Instagram in the near future. So many that making sticker navigation looks worthwhile.

At the same time, it is not yet entirely clear how the Favorites section will work, whether it will be possible to choose stickers for it on its own or Instagram will display actual stickers in it at its discretion.

As a reminder, Instagram has recently added animated text to Stories, as well as a map and a calendar of stories.
