Instagram* has introduced paid subscriptions – bloggers can ask for access to their content from $0.99 to $99.99

Under the “paywall,” you can put posts in your feed, storis, live streams and access to group chats.

Instagram* has introduced paid subscriptions to posts, storis and live streams, the social network’s CEO Adam Mosseri announced. Another bonus for a donation is the ability to chat in a group chat with the author. Profiles of paid subscribers will also receive a special purple icon indicating their support for the blogger.

Bloggers’ profiles will have a separate “subscriber home” tab where paid subscribers will be able to filter photos and storis available only to them.

According to Mosseri, the platform aims to become “the best place on the Internet for authors to earn money.” The CEO noted that the paid subscription has already been tested by several bloggers.

In addition, Instagram is about to undergo a redesign, including the appearance of a full-screen feed. It is expected that photographers will especially like it.

The social network first began testing paid subscriptions in the United States in January 2022. They were available to ten authors.
