Instagram unveiled updates to its “Your Activity” and “Security Check” sections and began testing a new way to restore an account.
Instagram’s updated “Your Activity” section shows a complete overview of your social media activity, including time spent on the app, interactions with others, searches, account history and link clicks.
In this section, you’ll also be able to delete or archive individual posts and Reels, which is an easier way to manage your content.
In addition, Instagram has updated the “Security Check” section, which shows the steps necessary to protect your account. To complete the security check, go to your profile and click the menu in the upper right corner, then click Settings, Security and Security Check.
As an added bonus in some countries, some users will also have the option to enable two-factor authentication with WhatsApp.
Another update is in the testing phase – the ability to regain access to the account by asking friends to confirm their identity.
