The new option will be useful because you don’t have to go into your settings every time to clean up your most recent searches. For example, if you’re looking for relevant information for a post and your queries are still on the screen in the prompts. In addition, clearing search history allows you to remove unnecessary information from the cache as well.

Automatic search history clearing in Instagram will become available to all users in the very near future.
