Instagram has added a new feature that allows users to view posts together via video chat. So the social network wants to help unite friends who cannot meet due to the spread of the coronavirus.
The new Co-Watching feature will allow friends to watch publications together. To do this, you need to create a video chat in Direct. After that, chat participants will be able to show posts and follow the reaction to them by selecting a specific post.

How to watch Instagram posts together
Step 1… Open the Instagram app on your phone and go to Direct.
Step 2… Open any dialogue or chat, and select the video chat mode.
Step 3… Click on the icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Then you can select the posts that you want to show to the chat participants.
You can select posts from Like, Saved, or Recommendations, and then show them in video chat. Up to 6 people can watch posts at the same time using photos and videos, but not IGTV posts.
The social network launched this tool to help people who are on self-isolation maintain communication. Previously, the ‘StayHome’ sticker was also launched.
