Now, Instagram content creators will be able to set not only a minimum age for their entire profile, but also an age limit for individual posts.
In addition, you can set a default minimum or minimum age for specific countries, or a combination of both. Also recently it became known that Instagram will control the placement of ads among bloggers without a special mark.
This will come in handy for brands looking to promote products in different regions where age limits for different product categories differ.
Of course, there are already age restrictions for certain types of foods. Alcohol, over-the-counter medications, financial advice and more. The new tool will add another way to control the same and ensure that you comply with legal requirements when publishing content.
Last December, Instagram added age verification to the account creation process, and also began experimenting with checking the minimum age for business accounts so that young users don’t share contact information in order to get more information available on business profiles.
Recall that earlier Instagram began testing disappearing messages in Direct, and also introduced animated text to Stories.
