Tik-Tok-account analytics
Next, we will tell you what data is in the statistics and how to analyze it correctly point by point, plus what to do based on this data.
Overview
Here you can see the activity of other users on your account – the number of subscribers and video views. The dynamics are displayed for 7 or 28 days. The first to be displayed are “Video Views“.
What does it give: Information allows you to understand which days were most viewed. Remember what exactly you posted and how much. Analysis of this section helps to draw up a content plan for the future.
In the subsection “Followers»You can see the daily growth of new subscribers.
What does it give: shows the dynamics of the growth of subscribers. If there are more of them every day, then your content gets into the recommended and is liked by viewers. If there is no increase, then the content is not very good or TikTok is not promoting you.
“Profile Views»Show how many people have visited your profile in a week or 28 days.
What does it give: The numbers in this subsection tell you how many people wanted to know more about you after watching a particular video. Study which videos are the most likely to bring guests to your profile and try to post more of that content. And also tidy up your profile so that people not only look into it, but also subscribe.
Content
This section is responsible for the content of the account.
“Video posts»Show the number of videos posted for the last 7 days. The dynamics of the number of publications is displayed below. If you have posted 3 fewer videos this week, then the total number of videos will be written in gray – 3 (minus three).
What does it give: subsection allows you to control the number of videos and the frequency of publications. For example, let’s say you decide to post 5 videos a week. But for some reason they didn’t do it and posted less. The statistics will remind you that this week there were fewer videos from you than last week, which means it’s time to upload new ones. This subsection just helps you stick to the plan.
Popular Videos Are videos sorted by popularity over the past week. Each one shows the number of views.
What does it give: Analysis of popular videos helps you understand which videos “hit” your audience and generate a positive response, and which don’t.
Single video statistics
If you click on any video here, you will see detailed video analytics.
The following data can be found in analytics:
- By viewing time: total watch time, number of views and average watch time.
- Types of traffic sources: where your videos are viewed from – recommendations, profile page, hashtags and more
- Origin of the audience: geography of viewers who watched the video.
We advise you to view and analyze each video, read the comments to figure out exactly what you liked – the plot, the format of the shooting, the music, the movements, the topic concerned. This is necessary to constantly improve the quality of content. If a video is included in a selection with popular ones, do more of this content. If some videos get fewer views compared to others, then the audience didn’t like something, and there is no need to shoot.
Important: Don’t delete bad videos. And don’t try to re-fill them. This can lead to a shadow ban on TikTok. If you want to hide the video, it’s better to archive it.
Followers
This item shows the activity of not all viewers, but only those who subscribed to you.
Subparagraph “Followers»Shows the number of subscribers for the last week. Below, in gray, it is shown how much their number has increased or decreased compared to the previous week.
What does it give: by the number of subscribers and the dynamics of their growth, one can judge the quality of the content. If there are more subscribers – this is a good indicator, keep up the good work. If it is less, you may have started to shoot worse or stayed at the same level. We need to figure out why it was not possible to attract new fans in a week.
Someone who was previously subscribed to you could also unsubscribe, typical reasons for this:
- they subscribed to you because of a specific video (or several), but then you began to shoot worse, it was not possible to repeat the success of other videos;
- the subscriber lacks variety, you shoot the same thing, and he is simply not interested in following the account;
- competition in TikTok has grown – the subscriber has gone to another author who takes better pictures than you;
- you disappointed or angered the subscribers, and they decided to unsubscribe – you could inadvertently speak out, offend someone’s feelings, just behaved incorrectly in relation to the followers.
Floor – Shows the percentage of men and women (guys and girls) watching your video.
What does it give: shows who your content is directed to, this information can also be useful if you take orders for advertising.
Popular places – shows as a percentage in which countries your subscribers live.
What does it give: infa is also useful for advertising, you can still get confused and study the peculiarities of the mentality of subscribers in order to better understand what they like. This is relevant if, for example, you are from Russia and your subscribers are from the United States.
Subscriber activity – shows what hours and days your audience is most active.
What does it give: helps to understand when and what time it is better to post content in order to gain more views, likes and comments.
Videos your subscribers are watching – everything is clear from the title of the subsection.
What does it give: helps you understand which videos only your audience is watching. Check them out and try something like this.
Music your followers listen to – shows tracks that subscribers like.
What does it give: You can study the musical preferences of your subscribers and shoot videos for these tracks or similar ones by genre.
Important: if you are going to make money on your TikTok account, for example, by selling advertising, then all the more you need to learn how to analyze statistics. You can see how the audience reacts to the video ads.
If you post ads without analyzing statistics, you can run into a misunderstanding of subscribers, reproaches and even unsubscriptions. If you have posted ads and received a serious churn of subscribers, this suggests that you need to carefully consider the content of such videos. For example, to do native advertising, and not offer to buy an unknown product “head-on”. Perhaps the audience generally has a negative attitude towards advertising.
What else could be wrong:
- advertising is not suitable for the gender of the target audience – you shot a video for a male audience, and you are mainly watched by women;
- mismatch in geography – you are advertising a product that is sold in Russia, and your audience is from the United States;
- not falling into age – advertising is designed for an audience of 40+, and teenagers are watching you;
- you post ads too often.
Conclusion
Analysis of statistics on TikTok helps to understand how well the audience of this social network evaluates your content. It becomes clear what can be improved, where errors need to be corrected, and where everything is fine.
The “Overview” section shows the number of views and the growth of subscribers, “Content” allows you to understand in detail each of your videos, and the “Subscribers” section shows an approximate portrait of those who are watching you.
