Previously, companies could add any song to their TikTok videos, without any restrictions or costs. This use of music content was made possible thanks to TikTok’s agreement with the copyright holders.

At this stage, the change will only affect confirmed companies on TikTok, regular users and unverified companies on the platform can still freely use popular tracks in their video clips.
In addition, TikTok talked about its Commercial Music Library. The library gives companies access to free, licensed music content to create videos and advertise on social media.
