Also, Facebook made it possible to use the “Rooms” feature in groups and events.

How to create a video chat via Instagram Direct
To create an Instagram video chat room, follow these simple steps:
Step 1… Update Instagram and Facebook Messenger apps to the latest version. Open Instagram and go to Direct. Click on the camera icon at the very top.
Step 2… Select “Create Room” and follow the prompts.
Step 3… Send invitations to video chat participants and go to Messenger to start chatting. The user must also have Facebook Messenger installed to participate in the chat.
