VKontakte changes the rules of ranking stories

In the VK story feed, all stories will now be ranked in a new way and algorithms based on engagement data will be applied to them.

There will be no more sharing of community stories and friend stories – they will all be shown in the main block. You no longer need to pin community stories so that they are always visible.

Algorithms will form the feed – they take into account how the subscriber interacts with stories. The secret is engagement. If a user answers stories, participates in polls, leaves opinions, then the community will be before his eyes.

If a user is not active in stories from your community, then your stories will still appear in the Community circle.

As a reminder, VKontakte recently introduced weekly automatic reports for communities, and also launched the “Shopping” section in the mobile application.
