Pseudonyms will appear on YouTube in the coming weeks. With this feature, it will be easier for authors and viewers to find each other.
Authors will be able to choose a unique name to use when mentioning the channel, such as in comments, in Shorts, or in entries in the Community tab.
Important: This feature will gradually be applied to all channels. When it becomes available, you will receive an email and a notification in the YouTube Creative Studio.
If you already have your own URL, in most cases it will be used as an alias. You can change it if you want. If you don’t have your own URL, you can also choose an alias. For example, if you choose the alias @user123, the channel URL would look like this: https://youtube.com/@user123.
If you do not choose an alias before November 14, 2022, it will be assigned automatically. You will be able to change it in the YouTube Creative Studio if you wish.
