YouTube to launch automatic “smart replies” to comments

YouTube contributors will have access to automatically generated Smart Replies. The new tool is a variety of quick answers offered by a machine learning-based system.

Quick replies will help authors to facilitate interaction with viewers in the comments. The feature will be available in YouTube Studio.

Smart Replies is based on the following principle: the system scans the text of comments under your videos and offers quick replies to each of them. The proposed answer can be published in one click or supplemented. The function is self-learning and over time begins to provide answer options that match the style and communication of the author of the video.

At the moment, quick replies to YouTube comments are only available to users in English and Spanish.
